I had a mixed experience during my stay at Holiday Inn Montreal Centre Ville Downtown. The location was excellent, just a few blocks from Old Montreal and Rue St Catherine, making it easy to explore. However, I encountered issues with housekeeping and the food options were disappointing. On the positive side, the bed was incredibly comfy, and the lobby had a calming atmosphere. Overall, while I enjoyed certain aspects, there are areas that could definitely be improved. 🌟

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious with two queen beds, a refrigerator, and a microwave oven. The view was decent, but it was frustrating that I didn't need cleaning services yet a housekeeper approached me about it.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally nice and helpful, but I had an uncomfortable interaction with a housekeeper. I appreciated the assistance when I mistakenly booked for the wrong month, and they helped me find a room.
Location
8.0
The hotel had an excellent location, right in Chinatown, with easy access to many attractions, including Old Montreal and the Notre Dame Cathedral. However, navigating to the parking garage was a bit challenging.
Dining
5.0
I found the dining options lackluster and overpriced. Breakfast was okay, but nothing special, and I was disappointed with the quality of the food.
Facilities
6.0
The lobby was calm and beautifully decorated, which I enjoyed. I also liked the amenities like the Keurig machine in my room, but I found the pool facilities underwhelming.

5.8/10

My stay at Holiday Inn Montreal Centre Ville was pretty good overall. The location was a total win—super close to Chinatown and public transit. However, I did find the pool to be freezing and there were no microwaves in the room, which was a bummer. The staff was mostly friendly, though I had a weird experience with housekeeping early one morning that startled me awake. Still, I would consider staying here again because of its convenient spot.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and super clean. The bathroom was larger than I expected, and having a fridge was great. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere, too, which made it comfortable to relax after a long day of exploring.
Service
7.0
The check-in was smooth, thanks to Simon at reception. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly, but I did have a strange encounter with housekeeping that could've been avoided. Overall, the service was decent.
Location
10.0
This hotel is in a fantastic spot! Right in Chinatown, close to public transit, and about two blocks from the stunning Notre Dame Basilica. I couldn't have asked for a better base to explore the city.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were okay but on the pricier side. We tried the lobby restaurant one night, but I'd suggest hitting up the nearby Chinatown eateries for more affordable and tasty choices.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were alright, but I was disappointed with the pool being too cold for a swim. There was also only one washer and dryer, which could be a bit of a hassle during peak times. The hotel itself was clean and modern, though.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Holiday Inn Montreal Centre Ville Downtown. The location was perfect for accessing Old Montreal and the Convention Centre. but my experience with the staff and accommodations left much to be desired. The room was clean but showed signs of wear, and the breakfast was disappointing.

Rooms
6.0
I was given a room that felt dated and somewhat worn. the bathroom had noticeable damage, which impacted the overall impression. However, the room was spacious and had good amenities like a coffee machine.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff were somewhat nice but lacked warmth. I felt a bit let down, especially after being told my room wasn’t ready and having to wait longer than expected. They tried to help, but the limitations of the hotel policies were evident.
Location
8.0
The location was truly ideal. It was close to the Metro and next to Chinatown, making it easy to explore the city. I appreciated its proximity to tourist spots.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was overpriced for what was offered. I encountered moldy food and poor quality items, which really disappointed me. I eventually found better breakfast options nearby.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel had some nice features like room service and a fitness center, the pool was not usable during my stay due to cleanliness issues. That was disheartening.

5.8/10

My stay at Holiday Inn Montreal Centre Ville Downtown was a mixed bag. The spacious room and the friendly staff were definitely highlights, but I did encounter some issues that left me feeling underwhelmed. While the location is fantastic, and the restaurant menu looked solid, my breakfast experience was disappointing, to say the least.

Rooms
6.0
The room was surprisingly spacious with two comfortable beds, and the large lavatory was a nice touch. However, I did have some issues, like the uncomfortably noisy air conditioning and a housekeeping mishap that woke me up early.
Service
7.0
The front desk staff were friendly, especially Simon, who helped us without any hassle. However, I felt some of the other staff lacked that same level of attentiveness, which was a little disappointing for an IHG hotel.
Location
9.0
The hotel sits right on the edge of Old Montreal, making it super convenient to explore local restaurants and attractions. It's also close to public transit, which made getting around the city a breeze.
Dining
5.0
Though I didn’t dine at the hotel, I was put off by the breakfast I had. The bags of moldy food and old bananas were hard to digest, and it felt pricey for the quality.
Facilities
6.0
The lobby and pool area were pretty nice, but I wished there were more washers and dryers available. The fitness area was also quite cramped and could use some extra space.

6.6/10

I had a mixed experience at Holiday Inn Montreal Centre Ville. The location is fantastic for exploring Chinatown and Old Montreal, but the facilities and service left a lot to be desired. The pool situation was particularly disappointing, and I found the restaurant options lacking. Overall, it was decent but not up to my expectations.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean but felt a bit worn and could definitely use some refurbishment. The carpet looked old, which detracted from the overall experience.
Service
5.0
While the front desk staff was friendly, I felt that the service could have been better. I asked for a late check-out as an IHG member, but only got a standard extension to noon instead of the usual 1 or 2 pm.
Location
9.0
The location was a major plus, just a short walk to Chinatown, Old Montreal, and the Metro. It made getting around super easy and enjoyable.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were disappointing, especially the breakfast. I was surprised to find moldy bagels and old fruit. The restaurant's menu seemed limited if you're not keen on Chinese food.
Facilities
5.0
The pool was a big letdown; it was closed due to hygiene issues during my kids' visit, and the restaurant didn’t have a wide variety of meals. The gym was okay, but overall, I was hoping for more from the facilities.
